游戏在原有下界的特殊风格上，本次更新加入了全新的场景、生物与方块。遍布着数不清的藤蔓，跳动着的神秘火焰，高耸入云的巨型蘑菇。玩家可以从一个“废弃传送门”启程。点亮传送门的紫色光幕，就能打通主世界与下界的连接纽带，从而穿越到完全不一样的神秘领域。下界的新结构“堡垒遗迹”，是获得音乐唱片和猪鼻旗帜图案的唯一场所。

新的生物猪灵正式登场，它们沉迷金锭，平时会主动攻击冒险家。但是，当你穿一身黄金铠甲时却能平安无事。如果朝他们丢枚金锭，甚至能以物易物换取更多资源。还有喜热怕冷的炽足兽，可以载着冒险家穿越滚烫的岩浆海，除此之外还有更多古灵精怪的下界新生物。

除了此前版本原有的“下界荒地”、本次更新更带来了燃烧着青蓝色火焰的“灵魂沙峡谷”、遍布巨型绯红菌和疣猪兽的“绯红森林”、充满巨型诡异菌及炽足兽的“诡异森林”，以及最凶险贫瘠黑石嶙峋的“玄武岩三角洲”。
